BOSU Weight Loss Interval Workout

Stephen Cabral READ TIME: 2 MIN.

Have you ever seen that funny looking blue "half ball" at your local gym or sports store?

Believe it or not, it has a name...

It's called a BOSU Balance Trainer and if you're ever at a trivia party and someone asks you what "BOSU" stands for you can tell them it means "both sides up."

Now that we got all the formalities out of the way let's get right into how you can use the BOSU to burn fat and tone up your body!

Today, I want to show you how to do a weight loss interval workout by using the BOSU to complete an advanced version of squat thrusts (I also demonstrate a beginner version in the video).

Squat thrusts are a fantastic way to do a total body exercise that integrates many different muscle groups and even works your core at the same time.

Plus, by combing the BOSU with the squat thrusts exercise you create a more challenging environment for your body to complete the movement. Therefore, you target additional stabilizing muscles and increase your heart rate and fat burning ability to an even greater level!

Now it's time to see how to complete this BOSU Weight Loss Interval Workout:

Step 1:
Hold a BOSU overhead

Step 2:
Place the BOSU on the ground in front of you as you squat down

Step 3:
Jump back with 1 or both legs into a plank

Step 4:
Complete a push - up (optional)

Step 5:
Jump back in with both feet (or 1 at a time)

Step 6:
Stand up tall and raise the BOSU overhead

Step 7:
Repeat for 10 total reps

After you finish all the steps make sure to rest for 60 - 120 seconds before completing the next round.

Also, this is a great exercise to do directly after any of the metabolic resistance training programs that I recommend for burning fat and reshaping your body.
