Gay Pride Theater Special :: Jeffrey Donovan in 'Burn This'

Stage and television star Jeffrey Donovan appears on Saturday in a reading of Lanford Wilson's "Burn This" at the Calderwood Pavilion in conjunction with Boston Gay Pride.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company's third and final installment of its American Voices script-in-hand series will feature stage and screen stars Jeffrey Donovan and Kerry O'Malley along with Boston actors De'Long Grant and Conner Christiansen in a reading of the late Lanford Wilson's play, "Burn This", a searing love story of two fractured people brought together by tragic loss who discover the possibility of love and vulnerability.

Wilson, a prolific gay playwright, is best know for such works as "Talley's Folly," "Balm in Gilead," "Fifth of July," and "The Hot l Baltimore."

The performance will take place on Saturday, June 11, 2011 @ 8:00pm at the Boston Center of the Arts, Calderwood Pavilion, 527 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.

There will be a Wine and Cheese reception with the cast and director immediately following the reading.

A limited number of reception tickets are available for $20 and can be purchased at commshakes.org or by calling 617.426.0863. Orders received by 6/10 will have a reserved seat at the reading as well as admittance to the reception. Attending just the reading is free and does not require a reservation, however seating is limited.
