Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman - Seasons 1-3

At a time in the 1990s when nighttime soaps like Melrose Place and Beverly Hills 90210 ruled television, a country drama on CBS managed to squeeze its way into America's hearts with tales of simple country life from the perspective of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman played by the always-enchanting Jane Seymour.

In the series, set in the late 19th Century, Seymour played Dr. Michaela "Mike" Quinn, who moves to Colorado Springs, Colorado to start her own medical practice. In the beginning of the series, the good doctor befriends a midwife; Charlotte (played by Diane Ladd) who dies from a rattlesnake bite and Michaela vows to raise her three young children (including now-out actor Chad Allen).

Besides the family drama element of the show, the other draw to the series was the romance between Michaela and hunky Byron Sully, played by Joe Lando. The chemistry between Seymour and Lando was strong and viewers couldn't get enough of the romance between the two, which culminated at the end of the third successful season in their marriage and, later, their own children.

The series would run for six seasons and spawn a few TV movies, which showed just how beloved and popular the series (and Jane Seymour) had become to television audiences.

The first three seasons of Dr Quinn Medicine Woman have been repackaged with all 66 episodes with each season getting its own DVD release. Among the extras included are commentary by Seymour and Lando as well as cast biographies and also the Biography episode of Jane Seymour.
