Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Ang Lee's "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" remains, to this day, one of the most beautifully-orchestrated pieces of martial arts cinema to exist. From Lee's gorgeous direction to the stunning choreography by Yuen Wo Ping, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is an indelible staple of its genre, destined to become a classic. Arguably, it already has reached that status.

A new home release brings the acclaimed masterpiece to Blu-ray, Digital and also 4K Ultra HD for those currently able to accommodate this rising trend in personal media consumption. It looks absolutely beautiful, and features some carry-over bonus features from a previous release, including two audio commentaries -- one with Ang Lee and screenwriter James Schamus, one with director of photography Peter Pau. There is also a featurette interview with star Michelle Yeoh.

However, it's the all-new special features that make this a worthy purchase. Six never-before-seen deleted scenes, music videos and a theatrical trailer close out the typical fare, but there is also a retrospective of the film with Ang Lee, James Schamus and editor Tim Squyres. Most compelling is the "Making Of" featurette, taking viewers behind the scenes of this amazing collaborative endeavor.

You can't be too picky about bonus features though, since "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is a must-own title for anyone who calls themselves a cinephile or collector.
