Watch: DC's Gay Men's Chorus Drowns Out Anti-LGBT Bigots at Knoxville Pride
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
Call it a case of a gay men's chorus to the rescue.
A handful of religious bigots didn't stand a chance last Saturday when trying to rain on the LGBTQ rainbow during Knoxville, Tennessee's annual Pride festivities.
As the group stood holding anti-LGBT signs and preaching hate at the entrance to grounds where a rally and performances by Australian pop star Betty Who and "RuPaul's Drag Race" contestant Tatiana were being held, they were circled by scores of men in matching lime green t-shirts.
The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, D.C. happened to have Knox Pride on the itinerary for their Southern Equality Tour. When the group of choristers came upon the anti-LGBTQ protestors, they knew exactly what to do. They drowned them out ... in harmony.
