Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut by Brian Callaghan
EDGE ContributorThursday Nov 19, 2009 If Avatar is the fanboys’ most anticipated movie this Fall, then Watchmen certainly had that same amount of excitement and buzz last Winter.
The critically-acclaimed graphic novel by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons was brought to the big screen by director Zack Snyder, best known for the movie 300, and his remake of Dawn of the Dead.
The film was a visually elaborate production that tried to capture as much of the look, feel and energy of the Watchmen comics as possible. The movie is now out on DVD and Blu-ray in special multi-disc gift sets that should keep fans entertained for hours.
These unique sets contain Watchment: The Ultimate Cut, a version of the film that weaves the animated story-within-a-story, Tales from the Black Freighter, into the blockbuster movie.

Real Super Heroes, Real Vigilantes, is another 30-minute documentary featuring law enforcement experts and members of the Guardian Angels talking about real situations.
