Coming in to "Dive!", a documentary about dumpster divers (or freegans as they are also called), you may hold the preconception that these people basically eat trash. Well, this is true, except that what they find in the dumpsters will leave you stunned; hundreds of dollars of fresh meats, produce, eggs and more straight from the dumpsters of some of the most famous names in grocery.

The film’s creator and narrator, Jeremy Seifert, does a terrific job of showing the different aspects of dumpster diving while pointing out that 50% of all food is wasted in America. He presents several solutions to the food waste problem, sometimes with interesting stop-motion animation sections.

The only problem with "Dive!" is its short length, running at 53 minutes. There are a number of cute featurettes on the other dumpster divers and a What you can Do campaign video.
