Host Terry Schappert, a former Green Beret and military expert, meets with the world’s leading scholars on warrior cultures, a different one each week. We get to see Vikings, Aztecs, Barbarians, Zulus, Spartans, Samurais, Crusaders, and more. Warriors is your typical History Channel show, with experts and location footage. Unfortunately, it can’t compare to the BBC show with the same concept, which hires respected actors to play warrior leaders in dramatic reenactments.
Despite this minor drawback, if you have an interest in how ancient cultures formed battle plans and developed their warriors, then this show is for you. The host, Terry, is also hot in a military way...this is one sword many wouldn’t mind sheathing, if you catch our drift.
This DVD release contains several extras with our main man Terry, where he gives commentary on several of the episodes. There’s also a little biography on him, making him an even more desirable catch. Catch all ten episodes over three DVDs of Warriors.
