It’s A Wonderful Life at Stoneham TheatreMonday Nov 24, 2008 It’s A Wonderful Life will be performed at the Stoneham Theatre from Friday, November 28 until Sunday, December 21.
Based on the classic holiday film by Frank Capra and the short story by Philip Van Doren, It’s A Wonderful Life tells the story of George Bailey (played by Owen Doyle, last seen on stage at Stoneham Theatre in A Young Lady from Rwanda and A Prayer for Owen Meaney), a man who retraces his life with his guardian angel Clarence Odbody (Bill Gardiner, Kris Kringle in last year’s Miracle on 34th Street) and discovers what the small, fictional town of Bedford Falls would be without him.
Along the way, we’re introduced to the greedy Mr. Potter (Allan Mayo), George’s wife Mary (Jessica Webb, making her Stoneham Theatre debut), brother Harry (Lucas Loyd), and children Janie (Rebecca Lerman), Tommy (Michael Sticca), and Zuzu (played at alternating performances by Grace Goddard and Molly Geaney).
The production is directed by Chris Jorie.
