Woman charged in slaying outside Baltimore lesbian nightclubAssociated PressTuesday Mar 24, 2009 A 34-year-old Randallstown woman has been charged in a shooting outside a lesbian nightclub in Baltimore that left one woman dead and two others injured.
Sharone Newton is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Sctario Edwards outside Coconuts Cafe on March 7.
According to charging documents, a woman bumped into Newton on the dance floor in the club, leading to an argument. Newton left the club but returned at closing time and attacked the women she’d been fighting with. She then grabbed a gun and started firing into a crowd, hitting Edwards, who wasn’t involved in the initial dispute.
The two women Newton had fought with were shot multiple times each.
Newton is being held without bail.
