Are you ready for some funk? Are you ready for some twisted trance? Trance that’s psychedelic and referenced with classic rock? One more question for ya: Do you love a tongue n’ cheek sensibility? Music and artists who don’t take themselves to seriously, yet serve up tasty music?

Well then, belly up to the bar and drink your fill of Analog Pussy’s latest release Trance N’ Roll. The opening title cut mashes up Deep Purple’s Smoke on the Water (high speed version), Lipps Inc.’s Funkytown and ubertastic trance beats in a pelvis rocking tune.

Analog Pussy is a very tight duo; Jinno and Jigga who must share the same brain; their partnership has created a seamless creation that will tease, titiliate and satisfy your musical whims. Jinno’s from Germany. He’s been grooving on synths since he was 16. At one point he turned his parent’s storage room into a studio. Jigga’s from Israel; she’s been playing bass for metal bands before she turned to synths.

The duo hooked up, created Analog Pussy, made music and threw their music into the ’net, letting everyone in the world download their songs for free.

Trance N’ Roll is their first American release. Listen I could tell you that this CD is exuberant; that life and joy just bursts out of the little plastic CD, but telling you is one thing, experiencing is another.

This CD is Glam Rock, Punk and metal riffs sautéed over a trance/dance beat. Lyrics will make you smile; beats will make you move and if you’re looking for a non-medical cure for depression, listen to this CD once a day.

For Trance N’ Roll they used live instruments in addition to synths Listening and you’ll catch a cello, electric and acoustic guitar, sitar and percussion. All those diverse instruments compliment each other and create a strong cohesive, warm sound.

Psycho Punko has some lovely reggae beats happily bouncing along in the song, adding texture and tone. The opening of Angels sounds like whale song, until you realize it’s manipulated and stretched-out synth beats. Those darn kids are clever. Rather than break down each cut and tell you how freaking brilliant they are, just buy the damn CD. You’ll be overjoyed. This is smart, clever, witty trance music. We need more of it. So let’s hope they head on back to the studio soon and cook up some more hot stuff.
