About EDGE

Who We Are
EDGE is the largest network of local Gay, Lesbian Bisexual and Transgender (GLBT) news and entertainment portals in the world, serving 500,000 dedicated readers from a variety of metropolitan areas around the United States and beyond.

Our Mission
EDGE is a group of journalists dedicated to the presentation of local and national news and information targeted to the GLBT community in a fair, entertaining, non-conglomerate format.

Our Philosophy
We believe...

That the GLBT community is a diverse, dynamic group of individuals that are appropriately interested in a diverse, dynamic body of coverage; EDGE therefore reports on a wide spectrum of issues related both directly and indirectly to that community.

That a journalistic organization's first responsibility is to the truth; as such, EDGE reports objectively on issues facing the GLBT community without an eye to advocacy. However, we often take sides on such issues when we sense the opportunity for progress in what we believe is the best direction for our community and the world. We do not do so to generate discord, but rather to elevate and focus discourse.

That our readers are our most important assets; as a result we strive to engage them in our editorial pursuits, listen to their comments and ideas, respond personally to questions or concerns, and build a pleasing, functional, safe and respectful atmosphere for them to access content, contribute their opinions and communicate with each other.

What You Can do to Help
The EDGE Network is made possible by the gracious sponsorship of our partners and advertisers. They have made a commitment to financially support the GLBT community via EDGE's mission and philosophy, and we believe they deserve to be recognized and rewarded in turn.

Please support our partners and advertisers by patronizing their businesses. This may be achieved by clicking on any of the advertisements you see on the EDGE network and thoughtfully perusing one of their websites. By doing so, you're letting them know that the LGBT community recognizes and appreciates their support.
