'O'Reilly Factor' Correspondent Trolls San Fran Pride
The geniuses behind Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor," hosted by Bill O'Reilly, decided it would be a good idea to send one of the program's correspondents to cover San Francisco Gay Pride on June 29 and to ask Pride-goers a bunch of loaded questions while he made stereotypical remarks.

Of course, the results were pretty offensive as correspondent Jesse Watters' misadventures found him speaking to drag queens, marchers and even E! host Ross Matthews and House Minority Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The three-and-a-half-minute segment, <link|http://nation.foxnews.com/2014/07/07/we-want-gay-world-jesse-watters-visits-san-franciscos-gay-pride-parade|called "Watters' World: Gay Pride San Francisco"> opened up with whacky music and cut to Watters speaking with a number of people at the LGBT event.

"Are you sure, are you sure you don't like girls? Are you sure" he asks two tall drag queens wearing purple dresses and parasols. Later on in the clip, he asks them: "What if you have a religious conviction that marriage is between a man and a woman?"

"That belief is becoming dated," one of the drag queens said. "You either get with the program or go away with the dinosaurs."

He then asks another marcher, "Do you still need these parades even though you guys can get married in California?"

"What's the next step for the gay rights movement? Do you guys want a gay president?" Watters asks other Pride-goers.

"Hell yes!" a woman responds. "Gay world! Everyone will be gay!"

"That means we can't procreate," he says as the "Price is Right" fail buzzer is played.

He then tells a man wearing underwear that he looks "promiscuous" and later on asks others if it makes "you a bigot if you believe in traditional marriage."

"Can I have a straight Pride parade if I wanted to?" he asks another drag queen, who says "No."

When he spoke to Pelosi, Watters told her "Bill O'Reilly says 'hello.'"

"Give him my best," she replied. "Tell him to love his neighbor."

"He does," Watters said.

When Watters appeared on "The O'Reilly Factor" after the segment, he told O'Reilly he "had a blast" and there were "no problems."

"No one assaulted me," he added.

<link|http://www.advocate.com/politics/media/2014/07/08/watch-oreilly-factor-offers-stereotypical-take-pride|The Advocate> summed up the tone of the segment and wrote:

"The segment was reminiscent of local news coverage of Pride parades 25 or 30 years ago, with a mocking tone, emphasis on stereotypes, and an undercurrent of homophobia that most mainstream news outlets have abandoned. Even the Fox News Channel, though, might have to give some parade participants credit for open-mindedness, as a couple of drag queens told Watters they love Factor host Bill O'Reilly."

You can watch the clip over at Fox News Nation by clicking <link|http://nation.foxnews.com/2014/07/07/we-want-gay-world-jesse-watters-visits-san-franciscos-gay-pride-parade|here>.
